“I started with Matt full-time in 2020 when he “forced” me to signup for the Spring Lean Challenge. Turns out that was one of the best decisions of my life.

When I started working with him, I was eating about 900 calories a day, eating whatever on the weekends and killing myself with cardio. I had an unhealthy relationship with food and often times felt exercise was a punishment for my eating choices. While it took me a while to get the hang of macros, when it finally clicked, it really clicked. Within a 12 week period I was able to lose nearly 20 lbs and gain muscle. After, we worked on reverse dieting and getting me to a maintenance point where I was eating over 2000 calories, allowing me much more food freedom and a changed mindset.

I also transitioned to primarily doing strength training instead of cardio. Matt helped me be confident in the weight room and with my own body. He’s helped me refocus my priorities and learn that being strong is more important than being skinny.

Matt’s training is flexible and unique to you. I primarily am a virtual client where I can workout on my own time. He’s responsive and genuinely cares about your well-being, both psychically and mentally. He will challenge you and keep you honest with yourself. “I started working on my nutrition with Matt a couple years after making my health a priority. I was putting in a lot of great work at the gym, but my nutrition was holding me back from seeing the results I truly wanted. I’ve always had a complicated relationship with food, and I’ve often used it as a coping mechanism for stress. I would feel guilty for eating food, and think I had to punish myself for enjoying the things I wanted. After my consultation and several weeks into counting my macros, I realized that food is never the enemy, it is fuel for your body. There are no “bad” foods… it’s all about balance and giving your body what it needs.
